Putting to practice the fastest design process to deliver results in just 2 weeks.
Acala is the DeFi Hub for Polkadot. It is a decentralized finance network powering the aUSD ecosystem. It's a layer-1 smart contract platform that's scalable, Ethereum-compatible, and optimized for DeFi. With the Acala EVM+, Acala lets developers leverage the aUSD ecosystem while enjoying the best of Ethereum and the full power of Substrate.
To re-brand the Acala Network in a way that the protocol can be perceived as trustworthy, inclusive, open while showcasing its disruptive and innovative nature of not being developed on ethereum.
As per the usual hypersprint process we started the with a 4h workshop dedicated to explore what were the main challenges we wanted tackle with the design of the new platform. We also looked into the long-term goal, and researched some visual inspiration we could make use of.
We followed on the second day with anothet 4h workshop, this time focusing defining the right user jouney for the experience, sketching it out.
Finally on the 3rd day, we brought it all together and converged all good ideas into a storyboard laying out all the components we wanted to feature on the landing page.
See below for sprint details:
Once we had the landing page designed, we brought some real users in to test what we had in our hands. We were able to gather their feedback and presented it to the client that ultimately prioritized the very last action points to address.
The final result is a landing page that addresses all the challenges previously noted by the team in the workshops. We also delivered a fully fleshed component library allowing the client to extend on the experience by desiging new pages and other brand collateral.
To complement all this, we finally delivered a Digital Brand Guidelines handbook outlining the main considerations for a correct application of the brand throughout the network.
